4 things What I learned from the Lockdown

  • Have a routine

Having a routine is fundamental, especially at work. Eating healthy meals at regular times, exercise at home and lastly but not less importantly, having (virtual or socially distant) human relationships.

Before opening your computer and emails , it is better to make some time to have your breakfast. While you are having your breakfast it is good to get some fresh air from the window or your garden.

This practice helped me to have a good fresh start to the day instead opening my PC being sleepy and unfocused.

  • Sense of Gratitude

Since the lockdown started people seem to have become more human and less frenetic. During this pandemic I have noticed that people are more willing to ask you how you are.

Colleagues and other people want to know how you and your family are coping during this unprecedented time. People seem more caring.

  • Learning and spending time on what you have always wanted to do.

The lockdown has given me the opportunity to spend more time on the things I always put off doing.

I have time to learn a new language and new computer skills. Furthermore, I have started to write this blog.

  • Meditation

Meditation helped to reduce my stress caused by the lockdown. Meditation enhance my self-awareness. It helped me to understand myself better and to know my future goals. As the pace of life slowed down I have had more time to plan my short-term and medium-term goals.

In conclusion, I have learned how to be more productive and organised with my time during the lockdown. The key is planning your week ahead.

I think in the future this lockdown period will make me more appreciative of the daily activities of life. As professional this time will give me the power to continue to pursue my goals.
